Counselling Experience

I am an experienced and professional counsellor.
I see clients in private practice in Leyland, Preston.
I have regular supervision and attend workshops and various training courses to keep me up to date with new legislation and counselling issues.

I am registered with the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) who are the principal professional body for counselling.
BACP have a comprehensive code of ethics and a complaints procedure in order to ensure high standards of professional practice.
I have public and professional liability insurance and have an enhance Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance.

I worked as a voluntary counsellor for a Family Support Team from 2002 to 2008, working with young people aged 11+ and adults.

I have worked as a voluntary counsellor for a local charity since 2004 and continue to do so.
Working with both adults and children from as young as 4.

I have worked in private practice as a counsellor on a self employed basis since 2006 and continue to do so.
Working with children (4+), adolescents and adults.

Counselling Theoretical Model :
I am an Integrative counsellor, which means that I have a person centred grounding and have an interest in other models, including Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, etc.

I can work with counselling clients in a variety of ways:

1.Short Term sessions - face to face.
2.Long Term sessions - face to face.
3.Time Limited.

Training Experience

I have been delivering training on a self employed basis since 2006.
I have worked with a great diversity of learners, including those with learning difficulties, learners with English as a second language, and learners who are academic.
